We, Terence, Deborah and our two kids – Seth and baby Enya are currently based in Sabah, East Malaysia since January 2016. Coming from Kuala Lumpur and enjoying a reasonably comfortable life, our family made the big move to Cambodia in May 2014. This move may be unconventional in many ways, especially since we just started a family and our professional careers were at its peak. If you know us, this move may not be such a huge surprise as we have, since young, purposed in our hearts to live our lives to the fullest and to positively impact our surroundings; people & communities.
We’ve both grown up with a strong ingrain of servitude in our lives – our parents, both, serve as lay people in various ministries in church. Our involvement in the Royal Rangers, an international Christian-based mentoring program has left an indelible mark in our lives by giving us a strong foundation in biblical truth and opportunities to serve at the local church level and Asia-wide. Individually, we have offered our skills, time and energy to sow in places such as the rural interiors of Sarawak, Sabah, Aceh, Indonesia, the ghettos of New York, Chiangrai, Thailand and Cambodia.
